188 Regulations
The Governor may make regulations for the purposes of this Act.
Without limiting subsection (1), regulations may be made for or with respect to – the practices and procedures to be adopted by the Tribunal in relation to matters under this Act, the Commissioner or a medical panel; and the powers that may be exercised, and the functions that are required to be performed, by the Registrar under this Act.
Regulations under this section may be made subject to such conditions, or be made so as to apply differently according to such factors, as may be specified in the regulations or according to such limitations or restrictions, whether as to time or circumstance or otherwise, as may be so specified.
Regulations under this section may – provide that it is an offence, punishable on summary conviction, for a person to contravene or fail to comply with any of the regulations; and provide in respect of any such offence for the imposition of a fine not exceeding 10 penalty units and, in the case of a continuing offence, a further fine not exceeding one penalty unit for each day during which the offence continues.
The regulations may provide for the charging of fees in respect of any thing done under or for the purposes of this Act.
