115 Powers of school association generally
Subject to its constitution, this Act and the regulations, a school association has power to do all things necessary or convenient to be done in connection with the performance of its functions.
Without limiting the generality of subsection (1), a school association has power to raise funds for the benefit of the school and to determine how those funds will be used.
Except in accordance with the Ministerial instructions, a school association may not – employ any person; or hold or otherwise deal with real property; or borrow money from, or loan money to, any person or organisation; or enter into contracts with a contract price or value of more than $5 000.
