27 Complaints generally
A person may complain to the council about a matter that relates or may relate to the behaviour, or physical or mental capacity, of a judicial officer.
A complaint under subsection (1) must – be made in a manner, or format, that complies with any relevant guidelines made under section 7(2); and state – the name and address of the complainant; or that the complaint is being made anonymously; or that the complaint is being referred to the council on behalf of another person, regardless of whether the other person is known or anonymous; and identify the judicial officer concerned; and contain full particulars of the allegations that form the subject matter of the complaint; and contain the prescribed information.
For the avoidance of doubt, a complaint under this Act may not be made solely on the basis that the complainant is dissatisfied with the outcome of judicial proceedings that were presided over by the relevant judicial officer.
