172 Acquisition and sale of land
The Minister may acquire private land which is not the subject of a lease under the Land Acquisition Act 1993 for the purposes of this Act.
A purpose for which land is acquired under this section is a public purpose within the meaning of the Land Acquisition Act 1993.
A person may apply for a mineral tenement in respect of land acquired under this section.
The Minister may sell land acquired under this section in accordance with section 73 of the Land Acquisition Act 1993 as if the Minister were an acquiring authority.
