Supply of water to Government departments and to persons outside the water district

In force
Part IIISupply of Water

26 Supply of water to Government departments and to persons outside the water district

The undertakers may enter into an agreement with any Minister or other person acting for or on behalf of the Commonwealth or the State for the supply of water to any land belonging to, or occupied by or on behalf of, Her Majesty, (whether in right of the Commonwealth or of the State), or with the owner or occupier of any land situated outside the water district for the supply of water to that land.

Any water supplied under the agreement is to be supplied on such terms as may be mutually agreed and, in the case of the supply of water to land situated outside the water district, the undertakers have the same powers of opening and breaking up streets, and of laying down pipes for supplying that land with water, as if that land were within the water district.

Agreements under this section shall not operate for more than one year, but may be renewed unaltered from year to year.
