46 Preparation of Council pledges
S. 46(1) amended by No. 9/2020 s. 390(Sch. 1 item 16.2).
A Council may make a statement in respect of greenhouse gas emissions reductions resulting from the performance of the Council's powers and duties under the Local Government Act 1989 and the Local Government Act 2020 on or before 1 August 2020.

A Council may make a statement in respect of greenhouse gas emissions reductions on or before 31 October in every fifth year after 31 October 2020 up to and including 31 October 2040.
A Council pledge must relate to the period of 5 years starting on 1 January in the year following its preparation.
