49 Ministerial directions in relation to emissions reduction pledges
(1)
The Minister may issue directions for or with respect to the preparation of emissions reduction pledges.
(2)
Without limiting subsection (1) the directions may—
(a)
specify the methodology to be used in determining the estimated reduction in greenhouse gas emissions set out in the emissions reduction pledge; or
(b)
specify the appropriate consultation to be undertaken by a nominated Minister or Council.
(3)
A nominated Minister or a Council must have regard to any directions in preparing an emissions reduction pledge.
