207 Additional condition
The licensing authority may, by written notice given to the licensee, require the licensee to produce to the licensing authority a certificate, issued by a registered medical practitioner who has examined the licensee, stating that the licensee is fit to drive a road vehicle in accordance with the Assessing Fitness to Drive Medical Standards.
A certificate under subregulation (1) must not have been issued earlier than 6 months prior to the date of the written notice from the licensing authority.
It is a condition of a dangerous goods driver licence that the licensee comply with a notice given under subregulation (1) within the period specified in the notice.
The written notice must specify a period of at least 2 months after the day when the notice is received by the licensee within which the licensee must produce the certificate.
The licensing authority must not give written notice under this regulation if the period of validity of the dangerous goods driver licence is less than 4 months.
Note
Under section 23(2) of the Act it is an offence to contravene or fail to comply with a condition, limitation or restriction inserted in a licence by the licensing authority.
