83 Recommendation for further action in respect of Ombudsman officers

Integrity Oversight Victoria may at any time recommend in private to the Ombudsman the undertaking of a disciplinary process or action against any Ombudsman officer other than the Ombudsman.

Subsection (1) does not limit the power of Integrity Oversight Victoria to make a public recommendation if Integrity Oversight Victoria considers that the Ombudsman has failed to take appropriate action in relation to the recommendation.

If Integrity Oversight Victoria is satisfied that any conduct of any Ombudsman officer which has been the subject of a complaint, investigation or other finding should be the subject of any further investigatory or enforcement action, Integrity Oversight Victoria may make a recommendation to that effect to any or all of the following—
the Chief Commissioner of Police;
the Director of Public Prosecutions;
the Australian Federal Police;
the IBAC;
the Victorian WorkCover Authority;
any other person or body prescribed for the purposes of this subsection.
