41N Objectives of Division
The objectives of this Division are—
(a)
to uphold public safety by creating offences relating to the display of symbols that can encourage persons to engage in violence or vilification; and
(b)
to protect the rights of persons—
(i)
to participate in society without fear of violence or vilification; and
(ii)
to demonstrate their religion or belief; and
(iii)
to enjoy their culture.
