39 Functions of the Chief Executive Officer
The Chief Executive Officer has the following functions—
to manage the day to day operation of Triple Zero Victoria in accordance with—
the financial and business plans, strategies and budgets approved by the Board; and
the instructions of the Board;
to ensure decisions of the Board are implemented efficiently and effectively throughout Triple Zero Victoria;
having regard to the needs of the Victorian community, to build and maintain relationships with emergency services organisations, the Justice Department and any other Department to support the delivery of services provided by Triple Zero Victoria;
to implement effective and accountable systems to monitor the quality, safety and effectiveness of services provided by Triple Zero Victoria;
to implement effective and accountable systems to identify risks in relation to the delivery of services provided by Triple Zero Victoria;
to anticipate any future service delivery requirements for Triple Zero Victoria;
to plan for the availability of appropriate infrastructure within Triple Zero Victoria to enable it to deliver its services;
to ensure effective and accountable processes and systems by continuously improving the quality and safety of Triple Zero Victoria's services.
In performing the functions of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Executive Officer must have regard to any advice provided by the Operational Committee under section 59(1)(a).

The Chief Executive Officer is subject to the direction of the Board.
The Chief Executive Officer has the power to do all things that are necessary or convenient to be done for, or in connection with, the performance of the Chief Executive Officer's functions.
