7 Council of the Foundation
There shall be a Council of the Foundation which shall be responsible for the control and management of the affairs of the Foundation and the furtherance of the objects of the Foundation.
The Council must not take any action that is contrary to the requirements of the Board as made known to the Council by the Board from time to time.
The Council shall consist of —
the chairman of the Board, or in the absence of the chairman, the deputy;
the Director; and
not less than 3 nor more than 7 persons, who shall in the first instance be appointed by the Board for terms of not less than one nor more than 3 years and subsequently shall be appointed by the Board after consultation with the Council.
Subject to subrule (3)(c), a member of the Council, other than the chairman of the Board and the Director, shall be appointed for a term of 3 years, except that a member must not be appointed so as to hold office for more than 6 consecutive years.
