146 Treasurer may make advances to a prescribed account in event of a deficiency
Where the Treasurer is of the opinion that the money standing to the credit of a prescribed account is not sufficient to meet payments required in accordance with a scheme set out in the regulations, the Treasurer may advance to the prescribed account money sufficient for the time being to make up the deficiency.
The Treasurer may impose conditions on a payment under subsection (1), including conditions on the payment of interest, as the Treasurer considers appropriate.
Money paid under subsection (1) must be repaid to the Treasurer and charged to the relevant prescribed account by the Director General when money is available to the account to make repayment.
Money paid under subsection (1), so long as it is not repaid under subsection (3), is a charge on the relevant prescribed account.
