Power of Registrar to refuse to register or reject documents
461 Power of Registrar to refuse to register or reject documents
The Registrar may refuse to register or may reject a document submitted to the Registrar if the Registrar considers that the document —
contains matter contrary to law; or
contains matter, that in a material particular, is false or misleading in the form or context in which it is included; or
by reason of an omission or misdescription, has not been duly completed; or
does not comply with the requirements of this Act; or
contains any error, alteration or erasure; or
if submitted in electronic form, is not readily accessible by the Registrar so as to be useable by the Registrar.
If the Registrar refuses to register or rejects a document under subsection (1), the Registrar may request —
that the document be appropriately amended; or
that a fresh document be submitted in its place; or
if the document has not been duly completed, that a supplementary document in the form approved by the Registrar be submitted.
