The Commissioner must notify the WA Registrar —
of the name (including any other name by which the reportable offender is or has previously been known of which the Commissioner is aware) and date of birth of every reportable offender; and
of an application made to the Commissioner to approve a change of name application.
Without limiting section 80E(2), the WA Registrar may notify the Commissioner of an application made to the WA Registrar to register a change of name that the WA Registrar suspects may relate to the name of a reportable offender.
The WA Registrar must maintain the confidentiality of any information given by the Commissioner under this Part.
This section has effect despite any written or other law to the contrary.
