43 Term of planning approval
(1)
If the Commission grants planning approval for the development of land —
(a)
the development approved is to be substantially commenced within 2 years, or such other period as is specified in the approval, after the date of the determination; and
(b)
the approval lapses if the development has not substantially commenced before the expiration of that period.
(2)
A written request may be made to the Commission for an extension of the term of planning approval at any time prior to the expiry of the approval period under subclause (1).
