Enforcement of requirement to pay money

In force

If a person defaults on a requirement, arising from a conviction or an order of a court in respect of a contravention of this Act, to pay costs or another sum of money, the court making the order may —

(a)

on the application of the Council, whether or not on behalf of another person, order that the amount unpaid be recoverable as if it were a judgment debt payable by the defaulter to the State under a judgment entered in the court; or

(b)

exercise any power that the court has apart from paragraph (a).
