6 Work that is not repair work prescribed (Act s. 5)
Each of the following kinds of work is prescribed not to be repair work for the purposes of the Act —
washing or otherwise cleaning or polishing a motor vehicle for the sole purpose of improving its appearance;
installing, removing, repairing or otherwise working on a refrigeration unit in a refrigerated trailer;
installing, removing, repairing or otherwise working on a fridge, stove, sink, toilet or other article of furnishings normally associated with human habitation that is, was, or may be, fitted to a motor vehicle;
installing, removing, repairing or otherwise working on —
a crane, air compressor, concrete mixer, welder or other industrial or commercial plant that is, was, or may be, permanently affixed to a heavy vehicle or light vehicle and is not a prescribed accessory; and
any component, that is, was, or may be connected to the vehicle, the sole purpose of which is associated with the use of the plant;
repairing or otherwise working on an accessory that does not affect the performance, safety or security of the motor vehicle;
the removal or dismantling by a wrecker of a thing or system that is, or was, fitted to a motor vehicle.
