14 Application for the issue of a licence (Act s. 46(1))
An application under section 46(1) for the issue of a licence, other than a temporary licence, is to be lodged by the applicant in person —
if the applicant resides within 50 km of the General Post Office at Perth, (GPO), with a licensing officer; or
if the applicant resides beyond 50 km of the GPO but is undertaking a course of training prescribed in respect of the licence at a location within 50 km of the GPO, with a licensing officer; or
otherwise, with the officer in charge at the police station nearest to the applicant’s place of residence.
