232 Entitlement of organisations to vote
An organisation whose members includes people who are, or are eligible to become, Members may vote in an election.
On receipt of a notice under regulation 229(4) the Registrar is to determine, for each organisation entitled to vote in the election, the number of people who —
are, or are eligible to become, members of the organisation; and
are, or are eligible to become, Members.
In making a determination under subregulation (2) the Registrar is to —
have regard to the public sector employment statistics of the State; and
consult with —
the department of the public service principally assisting the Minister to whom the administration of the Industrial Relations Act 1979 is for the time being committed by the Governor in the administration of that Act; and
UnionsWA; and
the Board; and
the relevant organisation.
An organisation entitled to vote in an election may cast the number of votes equal to the number of people (as determined under subregulation (2)) who —
are, or are eligible to become, members of the organisation; and
are, or are eligible to become, Members.
