Six months. One idea: check our work.

A citator, the whole legislation suite, an iPhone app, and pinpoints checked against the judgment.

Pinpoints checked against the judgment

When a memorandum cites a judgment at a paragraph, we check that paragraph against the judgment itself, where our text supports it. A pinpoint to a paragraph that is not in the judgment is removed, not guessed at. Older decisions that predate paragraph numbering are not given one at all. If our copy is too thin to check, "could not check" never becomes "confirmed".

The whole Act, worked up in one place

Every provision in all nine Australian jurisdictions, and you do not need an account to read them. Defined terms appear inline, you can search inside a four-thousand-section Act and land on the provision, and each section shows when it was last checked against the official register. You can copy an AGLC citation or pull the provision into Word with its tables intact.

Never open a 200-page judgment blind

  • Headnotes with catchwords, held statements and judge attribution on new decisions.
  • A citator, to see how later courts have treated a decision before you build on it.
  • Sentencing, explained: on sentencing decisions, the reasoning that got the court to the number.
  • A feed that is yours, filtered to your practice areas, with a Notebook to keep what matters.

In your pocket, and in your inbox

The iPhone and iPad app lets you read a judgment, mark it up and file it to your Notebook on the way to court. And Law on High brings you the High Court in plain English, with no account needed.
