New decisions are added daily. Our pipeline checks for new cases every two hours and processes them automatically.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel anytime from your settings page. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

How are headnotes generated?

Headnotes are generated automatically by our curated-AI technology to identify key facts, issues, and citations.

What happens during the free trial?

Your 14-day free trial starts with research credit included, so you can run real research before you pay for anything. A card is required to start it and nothing is charged on the day you sign up; the trial converts to the subscription you selected at the end of the 14 days unless you cancel first, and you can cancel anytime from your settings page. Free trials are limited to one per person.

How does Counsel's pay-as-you-go pricing work?

Counsel subscribers get a credit balance. Your $33/mo membership (including GST) unlocks the research tools, and each research query is billed only when you use it, drawn from that balance. The exact price of a query is shown in the composer before you run it, so you always see what it costs before you commit. Metered uses your credits first and charges only the remainder to your saved card, capped at $150 AUD. Per-query prices are ex-GST; GST is added when you top up credits, and to any Metered remainder charged directly to your card. Counsel includes $15 of research credit every month. It lands at the start of each billing month, applies to any research you run, and does not roll over if unused; top up anytime after subscribing.

How do the Silk plans work?

A Silk plan replaces pay-as-you-go pricing with a month of usage included in the plan price — Memos, Chat, Briefs, Analyse and Interrogate all draw on it. Silk Lite is $55/mo and includes 2× more usage than Counsel, Silk is $110/mo for 6× more, Silk+ is $220/mo for 14× more, Silk Pro is $550/mo for 35× more, and Silk Max is $1100/mo for 70× more (all including GST, billed monthly). You are never quoted a price per action: instead of a price list you see a progress bar showing how much of the month is left, and if you run it out you can top up or move up a plan. Included usage does not roll over. A credit or debit card is required for a Silk plan; prepaid cards are not accepted.
