52 Protection of officials from liability
An official is not civilly liable for anything done or omitted to be done honestly and without recklessness—
in the exercise of a function under this Act; or
in the reasonable belief that the act or omission was in the exercise of a function under this Act.
Any civil liability that would, apart from subsection (1), attach to an official attaches instead to the Territory.
In this section:
official means—
the information privacy commissioner; or
a person authorised under this Act to do or not to do a thing.
