171 Authorisation conditions for retail sale of pseudoephedrine—Act, s 44 (1) (b) and (2) (b)
A person’s authorisation under section 110 to supply pseudoephedrine is subject to the following conditions if the pseudoephedrine is sold by retail sale:
the pseudoephedrine is supplied in accordance with the Act, section 7 (Appropriate prescription and supply of medicines);
the seller complies with section 172;
the seller makes a record (the pseudoephedrine record) of the required information under section 173;

the record is kept at the seller’s business premises or, if the chief health officer approves in writing another place, the place approved by the chief health officer, for at least 2 years after the day the sale is made;
if the buyer of the pseudoephedrine asks the seller to see the record during the period it is kept under paragraph (d), the seller—
allows the buyer to see the record within a reasonable period of a request being made by the buyer; and
if satisfied that the record is incorrect, amends the record;
the seller complies with—
a request under section 174 (4) (b) (Failure to amend pseudoephedrine sales record); and
a direction under section 175 (Pseudoephedrine sales record—decision by CHO) to amend the record.
