64 Display of licence details
The holder of a wholesale tobacco merchant’s licence commits an offence if the holder fails to display a licence details notice in a prominent place at each premises at which the holder carries on business as the holder of the licence.
Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.
The holder of a retail tobacconist’s licence commits an offence if the holder—
carries on business as the holder of the licence at premises; and
fails to display a licence details notice at or in close proximity to the point of sale (or, if there is more than 1 point of sale, 1 of the points of sale) at the premises.
Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.
An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
In this section:
licence details notice, in relation to the holder of a licence, means a notice stating—
the holder’s name; and
the licence number.
