Tree management plans—assessment of tree

In force

If a decision-maker proposes, or receives an application for, a tree management plan, the decision-maker must assess the tree to which the proposal or application relates.

Examples—assessing tree

Assessing a tree may include assessing any of the following:

 the health, condition and structure of the tree;

 the ecological significance of the tree;

 the tree’s location, including the tree’s proximity to infrastructure, services and construction activity;

 whether the tree is a protected tree.
