Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Regulations 1995

For the purposes of section 120A of the Code, the following chemical products are prescribed:

any listed chemical product;

any reserved chemical product;

any agricultural chemical product;

an ingredient used in the manufacture of a chemical product if the ingredient:

does not have a therapeutic or biological effect on a plant or animal; or

is a herb, or an oil extracted from a herb, the sole use of which is as a starting material for use in the manufacture of a chemical product;

any product prepared in a research facility or pilot plant solely for experimental use;

any veterinary homeopathic preparation that:

is more dilute than a one thousandfold dilution of a mother tincture; and

is not required to be sterile;

any skin cleanser or shampoo;

any coat conditioner intended for external use only;

any equine hoof protectant;

any sheep branding substance;

a substance of any of the following kinds that is intended to be added to stockfood:

organic acids;

antioxidants;

pellet‑binding products;

mould inhibitors;

preservatives;

feed handling improvers;

colouring agents;

anticaking agents;

deodorising agents;

flavours;

flavour enhancers;

sweeteners;

aromatic substances;

appetising substances.

Listed chemical products are specified in Schedule 3B and reserved chemical products are specified in Schedule 3C.

In paragraph (1)(d):

formulated for use on the principle that it is capable of producing in a healthy animal symptoms similar to those which it is administered to alleviate; and

prepared according to the practices of homeopathic pharmacy using the method of:

serial dilution and succussion of a mother tincture in water, ethanol, aqueous ethanol or glycerol; or

serial trituration in lactose.
