18D Person deemed to be prisoner under Removal of Prisoners (Territories) Act 1923
Where:
(a)
a person has been tried in relation to an indictable offence against a law in force in the Territory by the Supreme Court sitting in a State; and
(b)
the person is convicted of that offence and sentenced to imprisonment;
the person shall be deemed:
(c)
to be a prisoner within the meaning of the Removal of Prisoners (Territories) Act 1923; and
(d)
to have been removed to that State under that Act;
and the provisions of that Act apply (so far as they are capable of applying) in relation to the person accordingly.
