27 Protection of members, representatives and witnesses
A member has, in the performance of his duty as a member, the same protection and immunity as a Justice of the High Court.
A person appearing before the Tribunal on behalf of a party at an inquiry under this Act has the same protection and immunity as a barrister has in appearing for a party in proceedings in the High Court.
Subject to this Act, a person summoned to attend or appearing before the Tribunal as a witness at an inquiry under this Act has the same protection, and is, in addition to the penalties provided by this Act, subject to the same liabilities, in any civil or criminal proceedings as a witness in proceedings in the High Court.
