41 Existing officers of Local Aboriginal Land Councils
(1)
A person who was an officer of a Local Aboriginal Land Council immediately before the commencement of Division 3 of Part 5 of the Act, as inserted by the amending Act, ceases to hold office on that commencement.
(2)
An officer of a Local Aboriginal Land Council is not entitled to any remuneration or compensation because of the loss of office.
(3)
Nothing in this clause prevents a former officer of a Local Aboriginal Land Council from seeking election as a Board member.
