Embedded network customer [NSW]
2AA Embedded network customer [NSW]
The following persons are embedded network customers—
a person who uses one or more embedded network commodities in the person’s residential premises;
a person whose consumption of the following is not more than the upper consumption threshold prescribed by the regulations for the type of energy—
energy supplied through an embedded network;
energy used to create an embedded network commodity.
Despite subsection (1), a person is not an embedded network customer, for the use of electricity, if the person—
occupies premises with a metering installation for which an NMI has been issued; and
is billed for electricity by an authorised retailer of the person’s choice; and
retains the ability to switch electricity supply to another authorised retailer of the person’s choice.
