102 Publishing false information about a candidate
A person who, before or during an election, in order to affect the election result, knowingly publishes false information about—
(a)
a candidate’s personal character or conduct; or
(b)
whether a candidate has withdrawn from the election;
commits a misdemeanour. Maximum penalty—1 year’s imprisonment. sch 1 pt 3 ch 14 ch div 3 s 102 amd 1988 No. 88 s 5 sch 2
