31 Unauthorised operation of aircraft
(1)
A person must not land in, or take off from, a State forest or timber reserve using an aircraft unless—
(a)
the person lands in, or takes off from, the forest or reserve—
(i)
under an authority under the Act; or
(ii)
for an emergency or rescue activity; or
Examples for subparagraph (ii)—landing an aircraft for a medical evacuation, taking off in a helicopter for fire-fighting activities
(b)
the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
(2)
This section does not apply to an aircraft that is a drone.
