122 Classes of licence—Act, s 981
For section 981(2)(b) of the Act, the following are the classes of water bore driller’s licences—
class 1 water bore driller’s licence;
class 2 water bore driller’s licence;
class 3 water bore driller’s licence.
A class 1 licence authorises the licence holder to carry out a water bore drilling activity in relation to a subartesian bore in a formation that contains the aquifer closest to the surface of the land where the bore site is located.
A class 2 licence authorises the licence holder to carry out a water bore drilling activity in relation to a subartesian bore.
A class 3 licence authorises the licence holder to carry out a water bore drilling activity in relation to an artesian bore or subartesian bore.
