Container Refund Scheme Act 2022

The Minister may establish a committee, on such terms and conditions that the Minister considers appropriate, for the purpose of advising the Minister in respect of – the performance of the Minister’s functions under this Act; or the operation of the scheme under this Act.

In establishing a committee under subsection (1), the Minister is to specify – the matters in respect of which the committee is to advise the Minister; and the members of the committee or the interests, and experience, that members of the committee, as a whole, must hold; and certain practices and procedures that apply in respect of the committee so established.

The regulations may prescribe the practice and procedures of a committee established under subsection (1).

Unless otherwise prescribed, or specified by the Minister under subsection (2)(c), a committee established under subsection (1) may regulate its own practice and procedures.

The Minister may dissolve a committee established under subsection (1) on such terms and conditions as the Minister considers appropriate.
