157A Infringement notices
Where a police officer is satisfied that a person has committed a prescribed offence, he or she may serve on that person an infringement notice in respect of that offence by delivering it to that person or by sending it to that person by post.
An infringement notice is to be in accordance with section 14 of the Monetary Penalties Enforcement Act 2005.
For the purposes of subsection (1), an offence specified in Schedule 1A is a prescribed offence.
The penalties listed in Column 4 of Schedule 1A are the prescribed penalties for the offences listed in Column 3 of that Schedule to which they respectively relate.
