27 Vacancies, resignation, removal from office
The office of a member of a Committee becomes vacant—
if the member becomes bankrupt; or
S. 27(1)(b) amended by No. 76/2000 s. 18(a).
if the member, without the Committee's approval, fails to attend two consecutive meetings;
S. 27(1)(c) repealed by No. 76/2000 s. 18(b).

A member of a Committee may resign by writing delivered to the Minister.
The Minister may remove a member of a Committee from office if the member—
becomes incapable of performing his or her duties; or
is negligent in the performance of those duties; or
fails to disclose a pecuniary interest as required by section 29; or
is convicted of an offence against this Act.
