Climate Action Act 2017

The proponent of a proposed Carbon Sequestration Agreement must—

publish notice of the proposed agreement in the Government Gazette; and

give written notice of the proposed agreement to—

the relevant public land manager; and

any existing lessee or licensee of the land; and

the Minister administering the Water Act 1989; and

the relevant Catchment Management Authority under the Catchment and Land Protection Act 1994; and

any other public authority that the Secretary considers relevant; and

any Commonwealth regulatory body that the Secretary considers relevant.

The Secretary may give any notice under this section in place of the proponent.
