51J Exception—administration of the law
S. 51J inserted by No. 47/2016 s. 16.
A does not commit a child abuse material offence (other than an offence against section 51I(1)) if the conduct is engaged in by A in good faith in the course of official duties of A—
connected with the administration of the criminal justice system, including the investigation or prosecution of offences; or
as an employee of the Department of Justice and Regulation who is authorised to engage in that conduct by the Secretary to that Department.

The reference to A in this section is a reference to the same A referred to in the child abuse material offence provisions.
