Joint recovery plan
91 Joint recovery plan
If a threatened species or threatened ecological community occurs in both this State and another State, a self‑governing Territory or an external Territory, the Minister may seek the cooperation of —
each State and self‑governing Territory in which the species or community occurs; and
in the case of each external Territory in which the species or community occurs — the Commonwealth,
with a view to making a recovery plan jointly with the other State, the self‑governing Territory or the Commonwealth, or with their agencies (a joint recovery plan).
Sections 84 to 89 apply, with all necessary changes, to the preparation and approval of a joint recovery plan.
Sections 90, 101 and 102 do not apply to a joint recovery plan.
A joint recovery plan must contain provisions that set out procedures for the amendment, review and revocation of the plan.
Nothing in this Division affects the power of the State, under the EPBC Act, to make —
a recovery plan jointly with the Commonwealth; or
a joint wildlife conservation plan with the Commonwealth.
