79 When returning officer may receive nominations
Nominations may be received by the returning officer at any time after the issue of the writ and before the close of nominations.
In the case of a Council election, a nomination may also be given to the returning officer for any district.
A nomination received by the returning officer for a district under subsection (2) is taken to have been received by the returning officer for the whole of State electorate at the time at which it was received by the returning officer for a district.
A candidate whose nomination is received under subsection (2) cannot participate in a group claim under section 80.
