82 Withdrawing nominations
(1)
Subject to subsection (2), a candidate may withdraw their nomination by lodging with the returning officer notice in writing of the withdrawal of the nomination at any time before the close of nominations, and thereupon the nomination is cancelled and the deposit lodged with the nomination is forfeited to the Crown.
(2)
The withdrawal of the nomination of a candidate included in a group has no effect unless each other candidate included in the group has consented in writing to the withdrawal.
