Before suspending an approval, the director‑general must give the approval‑holder a written notice stating—

that the director‑general proposes to suspend the approval; and

the grounds for the proposed suspension; and

that the approval‑holder may, by a stated day that is at least 28 days after the day the notice is given to the approval‑holder, make a submission to the director‑general about the proposed suspension.

If the approval‑holder makes a submission before the stated day, the director‑general must take the submission into account in deciding whether to suspend the approval.
