Biosecurity Act 2023

In deciding whether an applicant is a suitable person for section 67 (2) (a), the director‑general must consider the following matters:

the applicant’s history of compliance with this Act and any other Act that is relevant to the biosecurity permit, and the applicant’s capacity to comply in the future;

the outcome of any biosecurity audit in relation to the applicant;

any other matter prescribed by regulation;

any other matter the director‑general considers relevant.

If the applicant is a corporation, the director‑general must also consider the matters mentioned in subsection (1) for each influential person for the corporation.
