39 Determinations—accuracy of measuring instruments

(1)

The Chief Metrologist may determine the manner in which the accuracy of measuring instruments of a particular kind must be ascertained by a certifying authority for these regulations.

(2)

The accuracy of a measuring instrument of a kind to which a determination under subregulation (1) applies must be ascertained for these regulations in accordance with the determination.

(3)

The Chief Metrologist must give a copy of a determination made under subregulation (1) to each certifying authority appointed in relation to a measuring instrument to which the determination applies.

(4)

A determination applies to a certifying authority when the certifying authority is given a copy of the determination under subregulation (1).
