41 Advances on account of loss of earnings allowance
Where the Commission has, under regulation 71 of the Repatriation Regulations, authorised the payment of an advance to a person on account of loss of earnings allowance in respect of a period ending on or after the commencing date:
so much of the amount of that advance as equals the amount of loss of earnings allowance payable to the person under that regulation in respect of the part of that period that ended on the day immediately preceding the commencing date shall be treated as having been paid as loss of earnings allowance in respect of that part of that period; and
the balance of that amount shall be treated as an advance authorised by the Commission under section 109 of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act in respect of the part of that period commencing on the commencing date.
