47 Notification of assessment of applicants for adoption
The relevant decision-maker is to advise the applicant of the decision by notice in writing as soon as practicable after the decision is made.
Notice that is required to be given to a person under this clause may be given—
personally or by post, or
by email to an email address specified by the person for the service of documents of that kind, or
by any other method authorised by the regulations for the service of documents of that kind.
The notice is to include the following—
a copy of any assessment report or other report concerning the applicant (other than any criminal record check, accredited adoption service provider check, Community Services check, designated agency check or confidential referee report) considered by the relevant decision-maker in assessing the applicant,
written advice of the applicant’s right to request reasons for, and apply for a review of, the decision under Chapter 10 of the Act.
