(1)
Without limiting section 14 (3) of the Act, Local Land Services may carry out such activities as it considers appropriate to protect land and animals, and to provide assistance to protect land and animals, from harm caused by drought or other natural disaster.
(2)
The Minister may from time to time request Local Land Services to provide the Minister with seasonal and pastoral condition information concerning land in the State or specified land.
