Rear clearance lights

93 Rear clearance lights

(1) Rear clearance lights may only be fitted to a vehicle that is at least 1.8 metres wide.

(2) A pair of rear clearance lights must be fitted to the rear of a vehicle that is at least 2.2 metres wide.

(3)

The centre of a rear clearance light must be:

(a)

not over 400 millimetres from the nearer side of the vehicle; and

(b)

if practicable, at least 600 millimetres above ground level.

(4)

When on, a rear clearance light must:

(a) show a red light visible 200 metres from the rear of the vehicle; and

(b)

not use over 7 watts power.
