711 Transitional provision for Criminal Law Amendment Act 2000
In relation to an indictment mentioned in section 578(1), (1A) or (4) charging a person with an offence that was committed before the commencement of this section, the reference in those provisions to section 352 is a reference to section 337 as in force at any time before the commencement of this section.
In relation to an indictment presented before the commencement of this section, the person charged in the indictment may be convicted of an offence because of section 578 only if the person could have been convicted of the offence because of section 578 as in force immediately before the commencement of this section. sch 1 pt 9 ch 74 s 711 ins 2000 No. 43 s 35
